Dear Sir:

    The New York Times Feb. 20th report, WEST BANK TV, RADIO STATIONS SHUTTERED TO STIFLE PRO-IRAQI COVERAGE, was correct in stating that the Palestine Authority ordered the closure of at least nine private Palestinian TV and radio stations within the areas under the jurisdiction of the Palestine Authority.

    However, the report neglected to note that the PA did not order the closure of its official Palestine Broadcasting Corporation (PBC) radio and TV news stations, which continue to report and give consistently strong support to Palestinian pro-Iraqi demos throughout the past few weeks.
